Farnsworth House Inn, Gettysburg

Used as shelter for Confederate sharpshooters and a makeshift hospital after the Battle of Gettysburg, the Farnsworth House Inn is known as one of the most haunted places in America. The Farnsworth House Inn is reported to be haunted by the ghosts of women, children, cats, a nurse named Mary, and Confederate soldiers, most notably a soldier named Walter who is known to harm women

Betsy Ross House, Philadelphia

The ghost of famous flagmaker Betsy Ross is believed to be wandering the halls of this historic house. Locals say that Ross’ having dealt with the loss of a husband and several children in her lifetime could be why she is often seen and heard crying in her old homestead.

Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia

Lingering spirits of past prisoners seemingly haunt the cellblocks of Eastern State Penitentiary. With its 142-year history, the prison has become a ghost-hunting hotspot with numerous paranormal sightings, including voices, figures, and visions of both guards and inmates including James Clark. Cell Block 12 is credited as the site's most haunted location featuring shadow mass figures.

Welles House, Wilkes-Barre

Known as Amityville Horror house of Wilkes-Barre, built by industrialist Augustus Laning, the property saw a number of deaths over the years, including the tragic loss of Laning’s own nephew in a barn fire. Other reported strange incidents include a man dropping dead while walking in front of the house for no known reason, two suicides and four deaths at the house when it was a rental, as well as residents suffering from mental and physical illnesses. Haunting events like sounds of footsteps, bangs, moans, shrieks, blood spots appearing on the living room wall and sightings of ghosts have also been reported.

Baleroy Mansion, Chestnut Hill

Baleroy Mansion in Chestnut Hill is said to be haunted by at least seven ghosts that appear as full body apparitions. The ginormous 32-room estate is known for its poltergeist activities and ectoplasm. One chair is said to be cursed and those that sit in it die shortly afterward. The ghost of Thomas Jefferson reportedly haunts the dining room, standing beside a tall clock.

Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia

Fort Mifflin is said to be haunted by the ghosts of Colonial soldiers, most notably a soldier named Amos that has reportedly been seen multiple times cleaning his gun by the artillery shed, a amplighter has been seen striding about the soldiers' barracks, and there have been sightings of ghosts in the Casemates, one allegedly faceless. Sounds have been heard, like the sound of Jacob Sauer's Blacksmith shop and a screaming lady in the officers' quarters.

Mishler Theatre, Altoona

Mishler Theatre in Altoona is said to be haunted by its owner Isaac Mishler, a howling dog, a figure who wore strange hats and a woman that creates mischief in the restroom.

Sachs Covered Bridge, Gettysburg

Sachs Covered Bridge, there have been sightings of a ghostly battle within a sudden fog. It is believed that three Confederate soldiers were hung from the bridge after deserting the battle, and their ghosts still haunt the structure.

Hill-Physick House, Philadelphia

The former home of Dr. Phillip Syng Physick, the Father of American surgery and the creator of the first carbonated soft drink in the United States, is said to be haunted by the ghost of his estranged wife, Elizabeth. It is believed that her spirit can be found crying near the site of her favorite tree, which was cut down shortly before her death.

Kelly Road, Industry

Kelly Road, located north of Industry, a mile-long stretch of road nicknamed "Mystery Mile" by former residents, is reported to be the site of supernatural activity. It is believed that this small portion of the road has a “bad aura” causing people to lose their temper and become violent for no apparent reason. Sudden behavior changes in animals, movements in the shadows, and strange sounds that seem to have no origin – have also been reported. It is recommended not going there after sundown.
