The Amityville Horror house, Amityville
112 Ocean Avenue House, known as Amityville Horror House, was the scene of a tragic mass murder of the DeFeo family on November 13, 1974, committed by Ronald DeFeo, Jr. When Lutz family bought the house after the murders, they reported witnessing all sorts of creepy smells and feelings and had unexplainable, ominous visions.
New York State Capitol, Albany
New York State Capitol building in Albany is said to be haunted by the ghosts of a night watchman who died in a 1911 fire, artist William Morris Hunt, and others. Many visitors reported paranormal activities like flickering lights and shadowy figures, clocks mysteriously rewinding by eight minutes.

Originally called New York State Lunatic Asylum at Utica, opened on January 16, 1843, to care for the mentally ill. People claim they have seen faces looking out the window and heard chilling screams coming from the abandoned building.
Hyde Hall, Cooperstown
Hyde Hall, believed to be “haunted” for over a century. In 1817, George Clarke began building this largest private residence in the U.S. —but he died within a year of its completion. More than 150 years of paranormal experiences have been reported here, including apparitions, footsteps and sheets being pulled off beds.
Rolling Hills Asylum, East Bethany
Many died in this old 19th century poorhouse. Some 17,000 bodies are believed to be buried on the premises. Visitors have noticed paranormal activities in the psych ward, morgue, graveyard and the former bedroom of Roy, who now haunts visitors as a seven-foot-tall “shadow man.”
Dr. Best House & Medical Exhibit, Middleburgh
Dr. Best and his wife and son all died inside the house. Investigators have captured recordings of piano playing and distant voices.
Landmark Theater, Syracuse
The historic theatre, built in 1928, has been haunting by Clarissa's spirit, after falling from a balcony to her death in 1930. She often appears as a pale apparition in a white dress.
